What this video is about
In this episode of EntreSesiones, Alberto Moreno talks with Pedro Rosa, CEO of Todobarro, a Málaga company that describes itself as a neo-craft business. Pedro Rosa explains that the project combines inspiration from Andalusian vernacular architecture and ceramics with contemporary design, a high degree of customisation and lines of research focused on bioclimatic eco-innovation and the circular economy. He champions a product that is first beautiful, then functional and, finally, sustainable, and is critical of the hollow use of sustainability as a marketing hook.
The conversation then turns to his personal journey: the importance of having a clear purpose, learning through trial and error, the experience of businesses that failed and what he describes as a long time in the wilderness. He talks about leadership, the human factor, close communication with the team and the need to look after his own energy.
He also explains how he gave up football at 19 and how he got back into the habit of exercise by starting with just five minutes of running for months, later adding rowing, yoga and meditation. He closes with his project for a prototype home inspired by traditional Andalusian architecture and integrated into nature.
