What this video is about
This short video offers a reflection on how screens and social media are influencing the way we live and relate to one another. It describes some familiar everyday scenes: people who take fifty photos to post just one, conversations constantly interrupted by the phone, or moments that seem to be lived already thinking about how they will be shared afterwards.
Based on these situations, the video draws on the proposal of psychologist Marino Pérez, who in his latest book suggests that some of these current dynamics could be leading us towards new forms of relationship that are faster, more convenient and also more controllable. The video thus invites us to think about the place that the phone and the image we project occupy in our relationships and in the way we experience everyday life.
